About The Position

The purpose of the Instrument Technician is to ensure the efficient operation of process instrumentation. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing conventional instrumentation, including DCS and Analyzers, completing daily paperwork, participating in on-call duties, and performing daily route checks of assigned areas. The technician will be responsible for the calibration of all conventional instrumentation, Analyzers, and DCS. Adherence to all company policies and procedures, including those related to ISO, personnel, quality, environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements, is essential. The role may require working outside normal shift hours and being on call as needed, while maintaining regular and reliable attendance. Compliance with NTG (Nothing Touching the Ground) requirements, including daily audits, and active participation in Operation Clean Sweep to prevent pellet loss are also key responsibilities. Other duties as assigned will be performed.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Valid Driver’s License
Associate degree in Instrumentation or Electronics or Two (2) years’ experience (PLC, Analyzer & DCS experience preferred)
2 years of experience (PLC, Analyzer & DCS experience preferred) and a high school diploma or equivalent; Or associate degree in Instrumentation or Electronics or related fields.

Nice To Haves

Safety Certification or safety classes a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair all conventional instrumentation including DCS and Analyzers.
Complete daily paperwork as required.
Participate in On call duty.
Complete daily route check of assigned area.
Calibration of all conventional instrumentation, Analyzers & DCS.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures including but not limited to, ISO, personnel, quality, environmental, health, safety, regulatory and company requirements.
Work outside normal shift hours and work on call as needed.
Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Comply with NTG (Nothing Touching the Ground) requirements. Including daily audits.
Be active in Operation Clean Sweep and ensure employees are aware of and accountable for prevention of pellet loss, containment, cleanup and disposal.
Perform other duties as assigned.
