About The Position

As an ENR Top 500 Design Firm, WM’s staff of Professional Engineers, Planners, Surveyors, Technicians, Construction Inspectors, and Support Personnel work on a diverse portfolio of projects involving highways, bridges, transit facilities, water resources, utilities and water & wastewater facilities. Wallace Montgomery (WM) is actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced Instrument Operator. Work requires the application of technical knowledge of surveying methods, equipment and techniques in the measurement/determination of distances, elevations, areas, angles, land boundaries and other features of the earth's surface. This person performs such tasks as: using equipment and understanding measurement methods to be used, keeping field notes for each job.

Requirements

  • High school graduate with major coursework in mathematics (algebra and trigonometry)
  • One (1) to three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in a variety of engineering and land survey work a plus
  • Possess a valid Maryland driver’s license
