About The Position

The Instrument Maintenance Technician contributes to the operation and control of equipment used in the process of air separation; while dedicated to supporting and caring for plant mechanical, instrumentation and electrical devices and equipment. This role involves supporting, maintaining, and resolving issues with instrumentation systems and calibrations, guided by manufacturers' instructions, local work instructions, and governing regulations. The technician will install, maintain, adjust, and care for manual, pneumatic, electric, and electronic measuring, recording, and regulating instrumentation. Additionally, they will maintain, resolve issues with, and perform preventative inspections on mechanical equipment and systems, as well as support, maintain, and resolve issues with electrical systems. The position also includes supporting quality control and quality assurance equipment, maintaining calibration standards, executing analytical calibrations and adjustments, and maintaining/supporting maintenance on compressors, pumps, turbines, valves, motors, and other plant equipment. Fostering a strong culture of safety is also a key aspect of this role.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 5+ years experience maintaining instrumentation and electrical systems in technical processes in an industrial environment
  • Position travels 50 percent of the time

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum two years of college, technical school, or military technical experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support, maintain, and resolve issues with instrumentation systems and calibrations, guided by manufacturers' instructions, local work instructions and governing regulations
  • Install, maintain, adjust, and care for manual, pneumatic, electric, and electronic measuring, recording, and regulating instrumentation
  • Maintain, resolve issues with, and perform preventative inspections on mechanical equipment and systems, guided by manufacturer's instructions, local work instructions and governing regulations
  • Support, maintain, and resolve issues with electrical systems, guided by manufacturers' instructions, local work instructions and governing regulations
  • Support quality control and quality assurance equipment, including process analyzers and gas chromatographs
  • Maintain calibration standards, including inspection, testing, and measuring equipment as well as calibration gas cylinders
  • Execute diverse and varied analytical calibrations and adjustments
  • Maintain, resolve issues with, and support maintenance on compressors, pumps, turbines, valves, motors, and other plant equipment
  • Foster a strong culture of safety
