•$73,807 - $101,445

About The Position

Reworld seeks a safety-conscious Instrumentation, Controls & Electrical Technician to maintain, diagnose, install, and repair power plant and fuel-processing equipment at its SEMASS facility. The facility processes municipal solid waste to generate renewable energy and uses combustion, boiler, turbine, emissions-control, and materials-recovery systems. The role works as part of a team and requires clear communication, independent problem-solving, initiative, and the ability to prioritize work based on plant production requirements while following plant and electrical safety procedures. The technician performs daily preventive, scheduled, and corrective maintenance in an electrical generation facility. Duties include inspecting, calibrating, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing electrical equipment, instrumentation, and analog and digital control circuits. Work covers equipment and distribution systems ranging from 110V to 115KV, including 4160V distribution and predominantly 480V facility equipment such as hydraulics, fans, pumps, conveyors, shredders, and low-voltage systems. The technician maintains CEMs and COMs, terminates electric motors rated 4160V and below, and installs conduit and wiring for new installations and existing-equipment repairs. The role requires documenting maintenance work, reading and using PLC ladder logic, consulting equipment manuals, requisitioning parts and materials, and using the ALM computerized Maintenance Management Program to access, open, and close corrective and preventive work orders. The technician may also help redesign instrumentation, control, and electrical systems. The successful candidate is expected to develop new skills and be open to occasional cross-disciplinary work in support of team goals. The position includes rotating on-call overtime to support plant operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and may involve extensive overtime during planned or unplanned maintenance. Work takes place throughout the plant, including hot or cold areas and dusty, noisy, or wet conditions. The technician must climb ladders to access equipment, work at heights using fall protection, lift objects up to 50 pounds, and perform manual tasks such as pushing, pulling, sweeping, and shoveling. The employee must be willing to train to operate telescoping-boom equipment, scissor lifts, and other mobile equipment. The stated base-pay range for the primary location is $73,807 to $101,445. Reworld says the final offer depends on factors including experience, education, geographic location, skills, competencies, travel requirements, and applicable union contracts. Regular full-time U.S. employees have access to medical, prescription, dental, and vision coverage, FSA and HSA, short- and long-term disability benefits, a 401(k) plan with up to a 7% company match, company-paid life and AD&D insurance, EAP, paid parental leave, and educational assistance. The posting notes that level, title, and/or salary may be adjusted based on the applicant’s experience or skills.
