Instructor - After-School Program
About The Position
Brains & Motion Education (BAM!) provides STEM, arts, and sports enrichment programs at schools and in local communities. The organization offers students year-round opportunities to explore their interests in a safe, supportive environment. Its programs include activities such as robotics, creative arts, physical fitness, and guided recess. The After-School Program Instructor leads structured play, homework assistance, and a variety of STEAM and sports activities. The role involves inspiring and guiding students in grades K–8. The position is part-time, pays $21 per hour, and is available Monday through Friday during afternoon hours. The stated start date is November 2026.
Requirements
- At least two years of college coursework (48 semester units), an associate’s degree or higher, or proof of certification through a local assessment meeting the requirements of the Every Student Succeeds Act.
- 1–2 years of experience in STEM, arts, and/or sports subject areas.
- Passion for teaching and inspiring young minds.
- Ability to work effectively with students in grades K–8.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to assigned program locations as needed.
- Current government-issued photo identification, such as a valid driver’s license or state ID.
- Ability to pass a background check via online/live scan.
- Availability Monday through Friday between 2:00 and 6:00 PM.
- Ability to lift and carry 20–50 lbs. occasionally, with or without accommodations.
