About The Position

Mallory Safety & Supply is currently looking for an At-Heights Instructor to join our ENSA Division! ENSA North America is seeking a qualified Work-at-Heights Instructor to conduct training courses for its clients. A career as a Work-at-Heights Instructor requires a strong commitment to safety and quality, along with a unique skill set and professional demeanor. Work-at-Heights Instructors can expect to travel a significant portion of the time (at times greater than 75%), conduct training courses at ENSA and partner facilities, customer sites, and on one of our mobile training towers. In addition to training responsibilities, a qualified instructor will contribute to ENSA’s ISO 9001-certified and GWO-approved quality management system, training program development, and other non-training process improvement initiatives as needed. Occasional travel to non-training events, such as trade shows or customer safety days, may also be required. Candidates must have at-heights experience (personal or professional) to be considered for this position. Official training experience in any capacity, along with wind or safety industry experience, is preferred.

Requirements

  • At-heights experience required (personal or professional)
  • Valid driver’s license with a motor vehicle report showing minimal incidents required
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid US driver’s license required
  • Ability to combine personal travel with work training commitments.

Nice To Haves

  • Official training experience in any capacity
  • Wind or safety industry experience is preferred
  • Some college preferred
  • Valid US passport preferred
  • Experience in the wind energy or telecommunications industries preferred.
  • Previous certification as a Work at Height Instructor preferred.
  • Previous certification or experience in teaching, emergency response, military, confined space, climbing or mountaineering, or other challenging or hazardous work environments preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Following Standards and Regulations: OSHA 29 CFR 1910 & 1926 Fall Protection Requirements, ANSI Z359 Fall Protection Standards, GWO-BST Global Wind Organization Basic Safety Training Requirements, A10.48 Criteria for Safety Practices with the Construction, Demolition, Modification, and Maintenance of Communications Structures, NATE Tower Climber Fall Protection Training Standard

Responsibilities

  • Learn and deliver ENSA training program content to a variety of customers in diverse training environments
  • Learn and adhere to ENSA’s quality management system and training program requirements, including instructor course delivery processes
  • Contribute to training program content and process improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, a positive attitude, and strong problem-solving skills
  • Provide feedback to the operations and quality teams when opportunities for improvement are identified
  • Travel up to 50% of the time to support training and classes in other areas
  • Commit to ongoing professional development as identified by the organization and evolving market opportunities
  • Ability to comfortably work at height up to 150m.
  • Ability to comfortably stand and present course materials (both theoretical and practical) in front of a class of students, typically no more than 12 students at a time.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to speak and write fluent English.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook, as well as other software.
  • Familiarity with the principles, standards, regulations, equipment, and best practices related to working at height.
  • Knowledge of operating within a quality management system, including accurate record-keeping and adherence to administrative requirements.
  • Ability to understand and clearly communicate technical information to a diverse audience.
