About The Position

The Instructor, CTT Network Cable, provides career technical training using approved curricula and supports students in achieving their technical training goals. The instructor provides instruction, guidance, and assistance in designated areas; motivates and counsels students regarding behavior, training, personal problems, and study habits; and develops lessons in accordance with curriculum guidelines. The role also includes reviewing assigned areas for contractual compliance and effective service delivery, preparing reports, maintaining an organized, clean, and safe training environment, and participating in student assessment panels. Required documentation and evaluations are completed using CIS (Center Information System) and other documentation systems. The position is at the Charleston Job Corps Center in Charleston, Wyoming, and pays $42,993 annually.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Certified, licensed, or accredited in the state where the center is located, or accredited by a professional trade organization.
Three years of related work experience in a hard trade occupation.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

Provide students with direction, instruction, and assistance in designated areas of instruction.
Motivate and counsel students regarding behavior, training, personal problems, and study habits.
Develop and prepare lessons in accordance with approved curriculum guidelines, and recommend curriculum changes and supplemental materials.
Regularly review and audit assigned areas for contractual compliance and effectiveness of service delivery to students.
Prepare related reports.
Maintain an organized, clean, and safe training environment.
Participate in student assessment panels.
Complete required documentation and evaluations using CIS (Center Information System) and other documentation systems.
