About The Position

Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) is seeking experienced, dynamic, capable, creative, and caring individuals to join their team. Applications are being accepted for the Fall 2026 semester for the Faculty staff at Hudson Valley Community College, Troy, New York. HVCC does not sponsor Visas. Applicants must be either a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident of the United States. Appointment is contingent upon completion of a background check. The department for this position is Engineering and Architecture.

Requirements

  • Certification in Welding from an accredited Institution
  • 3 years of experience in the welding industry.
  • Must be either a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident of the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in a Welding-related field from an accredited institution
  • 3+ years working in the welding industry.
  • Experience teaching/mentoring welding in any setting.
  • Teaching online, hybrid, or in person classes at the college or high school level.

Responsibilities

  • Provide classroom instruction in Welding and Fabrication.
  • Ability to provide classroom instruction in machining technology.
  • Evaluate student performance and complete assessments as required by the College.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on course and program development as well as transfer course review.
  • Participate in departmental, division wide, and/or college wide committees.
  • At the direction of the Department Chairperson, faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract.
