About The Position

Nunavut Arctic College (NAC) is seeking an Instructor for its Social Services Worker Program. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality post-secondary education to adult learners, preparing them for careers in the social services field. The Instructor will develop, deliver, and evaluate classroom and practicum-based learning experiences, ensuring program content aligns with current social work practices, northern realities, and Inuit societal values. This position plays a key role in developing competent, culturally responsive social service professionals who contribute to the well-being of individuals, families, and communities in Nunavut. Requirements

Reporting to the Manager, Social Work Programs.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality post-secondary education that prepares adult learners for careers in the social services field.
Develop, deliver, and evaluate classroom and practicum-based learning experiences.
Equip students with the knowledge, skills, and professional competencies required to work effectively in Nunavut communities.
Ensure program content reflects current social work practices, northern realities, and Inuit societal values.
Work closely with government departments, community organizations, and practicum partners across the territory.
Provide instruction, mentorship, and student support.
Contribute to the development of competent, culturally responsive social service professionals.
