About The Position

Nunavut Arctic College (NAC) is seeking an Instructor for its Social Services Worker Program. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality post-secondary education to adult learners, preparing them for careers in the social services field. The Instructor will develop, deliver, and evaluate classroom and practicum-based learning experiences, ensuring program content aligns with current social work practices, northern realities, and Inuit societal values. This position plays a key role in developing competent, culturally responsive social service professionals who contribute to the well-being of individuals, families, and communities in Nunavut. Requirements

  • Reporting to the Manager, Social Work Programs.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality post-secondary education that prepares adult learners for careers in the social services field.
  • Develop, deliver, and evaluate classroom and practicum-based learning experiences.
  • Equip students with the knowledge, skills, and professional competencies required to work effectively in Nunavut communities.
  • Ensure program content reflects current social work practices, northern realities, and Inuit societal values.
  • Work closely with government departments, community organizations, and practicum partners across the territory.
  • Provide instruction, mentorship, and student support.
  • Contribute to the development of competent, culturally responsive social service professionals.
