About The Position

Part-time Instructor for the School Bus Driver program at the Broken Arrow Campus. This role involves teaching adult students, managing classrooms, and maintaining student records. The instructor will be responsible for delivering competency-based curriculum using current instructional strategies to ensure high-quality education. The position requires strong communication and people skills, professionalism, and a commitment to the mission and goals of Tulsa Tech's ACD program. Participation in professional development is also expected.

Requirements

CDL B or higher with Passenger Endorsement and School Bus Instructor Endorsement required.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Available to teach Monday - Friday evenings and possible Saturday morning as scheduled throughout the spring, summer, and fall terms.
Must be able to travel or work extended hours, as needed.
Close, color, peripheral, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.
Adequate to exchange information.

Nice To Haves

Experience teaching adults strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate extensive knowledge of and experience in the appropriate subject matter.
Instruct students in competency-based program curriculum using current instructional strategies appropriate to the subject matter to assure highest quality classroom instruction.
Effectively manage the classroom to create an optimal learning environment.
Maintain up-to-date records of student attendance, academic progress and grades as required by district policy and certification/regulatory agencies.
Ensure syllabus, supply list and lesson plans are current prior to each class taught.
Demonstrate effective people skills, communication skills and professionalism (i.e. prepared, reliable, responsible, punctual, etc.).
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in training and teaching others.
Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the mission and goals of Tulsa Tech's ACD program.
Participate in professional development opportunities as required by the ACD department.
Perform all other duties as may be assigned by management from time to time.
