CAEMoose Jaw, SK

About The Position

As an Instructor Pilot at CAE, your role soars beyond training. You build confidence and skill, inspire mastery, and ensure pilots are prepared for the moments that matter. Whether leading simulator sessions or pre-flight briefings, you’ll contribute to CAE’s legacy of flight training excellence while keeping your own skills sharp. Supported by advanced training and cutting-edge technology, you’ll grow as an educator and find purpose in helping pilots excel, no matter the challenges they face. Description Serve as the Instructor Pilot Subject‑Matter Expert (SME) supporting the design of CAE’s Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) Civilian Qualified Flying Instructor (CQFI) training programs for the Pilatus PC‑21 and Grob 120TP. Partner closely with CAE Qualified Flying Instructors (CQFIs) and work within the Integrated Product Team (IPT) and Training Development Team (TDT). Review and advise on training program design, including module outlines, storyboards, and courseware, ensuring alignment with the RCAF Training Plan. Contribute to the design of Flight Training Operations, Ground‑Based Training Systems (GBTS), and training devices. Design and develop courseware through the full review cycle, including classroom, synthetic training device, and live flying training sequences. Provide SME input for acceptance testing of courseware and synthetic training devices. Support the creation of policy and procedure documents for the integrated training centre; collaborate with Air Operations (Dispatch) to develop operational policies. Analyze and report on training needs and risks; support Validation & Verification (V&V) activities as an RCAF instructional expert. Undertake aircraft familiarization training when available. Work model: Remote anywhere in Canada, flexible work hours; expected to travel to Moose Jaw once or twice per quarter for workshops depending on program needs. Important: This is a non‑flying role, focused heavily on courseware creation and storyboard review for the new FAcT courseware currently in development. Role duration: Temporary 3–5 years, aligned with completion of courseware and full training system implementation.
