About The Position

The Social Work Department of Capital University invites applications for a term Instructor position. This is a full-time, non-tenure-track faculty position within the Social Work department, beginning in August 2026. While the role is principally assigned to the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program, the successful candidate will also teach Master of Social Work (MSW) students.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two years of teaching experience within a CSWE-accredited program.
  • An MSW from a CSWE-accredited program.
  • At least two years of post-graduate clinical practice experience and eligibility for an LISW license (if Doctorate is not held).

Nice To Haves

  • Doctorate in Social Work.
  • Experience utilizing innovative instructional technologies (e.g., delivering distance and hybrid education).
  • Experience teaching BSW and MSW level coursework.
  • Experience in program assessment and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in Field Education coordination and seminar instruction.
  • Experience mentoring/advising students in professional and academic pursuits.

Responsibilities
