About The Position

The Department of Psychology, Sociology, and Social Work at West Texas A&M University invites applications for a 9-month Instructor-level position in Social Work. The successful applicant will serve as the Field Director for the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Program and will oversee field education, including student internships, placement coordination, community partnership development, and support of student success in practicum settings. Responsibilities also include undergraduate teaching, advising, and service responsibilities.

Requirements

Master of Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program.
Minimum of two years of post-MSW professional social work experience.
Ability to teach effectively in both face-to-face and online formats.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain work authorization throughout the employment term.

Nice To Haves

Current social work licensure in Texas.
Current clinical licensure (LCSW).
Demonstrated clinical practice experience in mental health, behavioral health, healthcare, or related clinical practice settings.
Experience supervising, mentoring, or supporting social work students or early-career professionals in applied practice settings.
Experience developing and sustaining community partnerships and field placement opportunities.

Responsibilities
