About The Position
The School of Music at the University of Alabama invites applications for a full-time, renewable contract instructor. Primary duties include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in music theory, possibly supervising graduate teaching assistants. Secondary duties include assisting the Undergraduate Advisor in the academic advising of music majors. Anticipated course load: the equivalent of 12 credit hours per semester. (Teaching load may vary from semester to semester, with the balance filled by advising duties.)
Requirements
- Terminal degree in appropriate music discipline; terminal degree candidates currently working on dissertations will be considered.
- Successful college teaching experience is required.

- Advising experience is preferred.
