About The Position

The Department of History at Winthrop University is seeking applications for a part-time adjunct instructor position with expertise in History. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated and experienced individual who can teach introductory courses on World Civilizations, specifically HIST 111 (World Civilizations from Antiquity to 950 CE), HIST 112 (World Civilizations from 950 – 1750 CE), or HIST 113 (World Civilizations from 1750 – present). The Winthrop Department of History boasts an exceptional team of faculty known for their engaging teaching in classes that serve students from diverse backgrounds and learning communities. The department also collaborates with other departments on campus to deliver its major curriculum for double/dual majors, as well as secondary education degrees.

Requirements

• M.A. in History
• At least 18 hours of coursework in History completed at the graduate level.

Nice To Haves

• Background in European History
• Ability to teach courses on European History.

Responsibilities
