About The Position

This course introduces the foundations of music psychotherapy practice by exploring diverse client populations across different lifespans, diagnoses, and cultural orientations. It will examine current theories practiced in Ontario, comparing them with music psychotherapy practices and common theories, approaches, and treatment models. The course addresses the needs of diverse client populations through case studies, readings, and experiential demonstrations, while also discussing the limitations of music psychotherapy and the therapist's role relative to other health professionals.
