About The Position

Primary responsibilities include teaching applied lessons to approximately 4-8 students per semester. Additional responsibilities may include coaching a student ensemble or band, or teaching other relevant courses as assigned. Faculty are expected to accept courses as assigned which could include face-to-face and non-traditional venues, such as evening, weekend, dual credit, blended, and/or online courses. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, maintaining office hours, working across departments, and promoting and supporting the department’s mission and goals. This position reports to the Division Chair of Visual and Performing Arts. Employee may not exceed 19.5 hours per week. NOTE: This is a security sensitive position and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Music from an accredited college or university

Nice To Haves

  • Applied teaching experience at the college/university level in a variety of vocal genres.
  • 1-3 years of performance experience singing contemporary genres.
