About The Position

This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction in Mathematics. The instructor will perform job duties from the assigned campus/instructional site/work location, teaching courses on-ground. Other instructional delivery modes, such as online, hybrid or web-enhanced, may be assigned. The role involves working with course leads and program coordinators to ensure consistent student experiences, utilizing the college’s learning management system, and submitting updated syllabi. Responsibilities include checking college email and responding to messages within 24 hours (excluding weekends), completing required reports (student engagement, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions, surveys, student outcome assessments) by deadlines, engaging in departmental institutional effectiveness activities, submitting final grades by the registrar's deadline, and potentially serving as an academic advisor. The position requires compliance with all college and TBR policies and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Mathematics (OR) Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in Mathematics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver quality instruction in Mathematics.
  • Teach courses on-ground at the assigned campus/instructional site/work location.
  • Utilize the college’s learning management system to provide course materials to students.
  • Submit updated department syllabi prior to the first day of class.
  • Regularly check College email and departmental mailbox and respond to emails/messages within 24 hours except on the weekend.
  • Complete all required reports such as student engagement, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions; administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the required deadlines.
  • Engage in departmental institutional effectiveness activities.
  • Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the registrar.
  • Work with students as academic advisor as assigned.
  • Comply with all college and TBR policies and guidelines.
