About The Position
The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is seeking a part-time Instructor for Italian within the World Languages department for Fiscal Year 2027. This role involves teaching college-level courses, developing syllabi and course materials, evaluating student mastery of skills, providing student advisement, participating in recruitment activities, and contributing to program/curriculum development. The instructor will teach at multiple campuses in Clark County and be available for day, evening, and/or weekend courses. Applications are reviewed on an as-needed basis, determined by course availability.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Italian Language, Literature, Linguistics or Second Language acquisition from a regionally accredited College or University.
Responsibilities
- Teach college-level courses in the field of Italian.
- Develop syllabi and course materials.
- Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.
- Provide an excellent teaching experience.
- Provide student advisement.
- Participate in recruitment activities.
- Participate in program/curriculum development.
- Teach at multiple campuses in Clark County.
- Be available to teach day, evening and /or weekend courses.
Benefits
- Salary: $925.00 per credit hour. Credits will vary by semester.
