About The Position

Teach American Heart Association (AHA) classes at each of the Aims Campus sites and to business and industry at locations throughout Northern Colorado. Occasional travel may be required.

Requirements

Must obtain CPR instructor certification within (six) 6 months of hire, CPR instructor certification will be provided by Aims
Must have an active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Responsibilities

Teach CPR and First Aid classes in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) standards and guidelines.
Provide effective and high quality instruction in compliance with AHA standards and College requirements.
Instruct small group sessions to demonstrate skills and coach student skills performance in compliance with student-faculty ratios established by the AHA.
Follow college, department, and AHA procedures and requirements for student evaluation and grading.
Evaluate student performance and document student skill proficiencies. Evaluation occurs both informally through skills check-off activities and formally in skill evaluation sessions.
Assist the CPR Coordinator with the maintenance and coordination of CPR equipment used for instruction for both on and off campus classes.
Set up and tear down the classroom as needed for each class.
Clean the CPR equipment and replace used parts.
Submit the required paperwork to the Training Center Coordinator by established due dates.
