Part - Time Instructor, Health Information Technology - FY 2027
About The Position
The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is seeking a Part-Time Instructor for Health Information Technology for FY 2027. This role involves instructing students in introductory or advanced medical diagnosis and procedure coding (ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT) and teaching a short course in medical terminology. The instructor will also be responsible for developing syllabi and course materials in conjunction with the Program Director, and evaluating student mastery of skills and competencies. Assignments may include day or evening classes, and can be conducted on-campus or online. The instructor must meet all classes at the designated time, place, and length.
Requirements
- Current CCS or CCS-P credential OR RHIT or RHIA credential with recent 5 years inpatient and outpatient medical coding experience.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with in-person instruction.
- Proficiency in the use of on-line Learning Management Systems such as Canvas.

Benefits
- Salary: $925 per Instructional Unit for Lecture Classes, $57.81 per hour of Lab or Clinical Instruction.
