About The Position

The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is seeking a Part-Time Instructor for Mathematics for the Fiscal Year 2027. This position involves teaching Mathematics courses as assigned and scheduled by the Department Chair through the Adjunct Coordinator. Instruction can be delivered in a Web-Remote or In-Person format. The instructor will be responsible for responding to student emails professionally, preferably within 24 hours, and developing syllabi that align with CSN standards, clearly outlining course expectations, grading policies, and outcomes. The role requires awareness and readiness to teach the co-requisite model of courses and participation in the Community of Practice program for collaboration with other instructors. A minimum of one hour of office hours per week per section taught is required, along with prompt and professional communication with the Adjunct Coordinator and Department Chair. A commitment to the CSN Motto “Students First” is essential in all aspects of the role.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Mathematics or Statistics or a related STEM field or a Master’s Degree in any field with at least 18 additional credit hours in Mathematics.
  • At least 3 years of teaching experience in a high school or higher education setting or equivalent industry working experience that required use of mathematics/statistics.

Responsibilities
