The Lifesaving Instructor and Examiner teaches and examines specific course content, using Lifesaving Society and YMCA equipment, resources and materials. Instructors develop course lesson plans that incorporate different learning styles. In this role, you will teach in the aquatic area, ensure all safety and life guarding procedures are followed, and respond in emergencies as trained by the Association and the Lifesaving Society. You will deliver course content and examine participants following Lifesaving Society criteria. You will plan, organize, and implement course lesson plans, recognize participant learning styles and deliver content accordingly. You will coach and develop participants for success, ensure qualifications and certifications are current as required by the YMCA and regulatory standards. You will participate actively in scheduled programs, meetings, and special events. You will collaborate with program members, volunteers, and YMCA staff, assist and encourage program members to access additional appropriate programs offered at this location. Perform other duties as assigned.
