About The Position

Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC), a multi-campus institution in Upstate NY, is seeking experienced, dynamic, capable, creative, and caring individuals to join its Faculty team. HVCC offers over 80 degree and certificate programs and is a recognized leader in career and transfer preparation, workforce training, distance learning, and serving a diverse student population. This full-time, tenure-track position is for the Fall 2026 semester in Troy, New York. Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
Two years of previous teaching experience.

Nice To Haves

Master’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
Professional Engineering License.
Demonstrated teacher effectiveness across multiple modalities in higher education is strongly preferred.
Experience using D2L Brightspace is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide classroom instruction in Engineering Science and Engineering Technology.
Evaluate student performance and complete assessments as required by the College.
Collaborate with colleagues on course and program development as well as transfer course review.
Participate in departmental, division wide, and/or college wide committees.
At the direction of the Department Chairperson, faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract.
Ability to teach a class at Malta campus. Teaching assignments may include weekend, evening, and online.
