About The Position

This position will teach undergraduate Early Childhood Education and general education courses in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats using effective instructional strategies and technology.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of one (1) term of teaching experience, including experience developing lesson plans and assessments.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in early childhood education settings.
  • Strong written, oral, interpersonal, organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of effective instructional strategies and the ability to integrate multiple teaching methodologies.
  • Understanding of the needs of community college students.
  • Ability to organize and present instructional material effectively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Blackboard Ultra, Owens email, and related instructional technologies.

Nice To Haves

  • Community college teaching experience, including online and hybrid instruction.
  • Knowledge of NAEYC standards, accreditation, curriculum assessment, and program evaluation.
  • Familiarity with Ohio early childhood licensing requirements and early learning initiatives.
  • Experience supervising practicum or field experiences and supporting adult, nontraditional, and workforce-based learners.
