About The Position

As a Y Recruiter you will develop, implement and support sourcing and recruitment efforts for internal and external candidates in support of the Y in Central Maryland’s overall strategic plan and vision. The Recruiter will establish ongoing effective relationships with associations, community organizations, schools/ universities, etc. to expand and enhance applicant flow. You will ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to employment practices. You will coordinate and support the job posting process, monitor the onboarding of associates and assist in supporting retention efforts. As a Y Recruiter, you’ll contribute to the Y and to the broader community we serve by acting as an HR resource that helps to develop a consistent approach with the Y’s overall vision, values and strategic imperative of becoming an “Employer of Choice with an Exceptional Culture.” All Y associates agree to abide by The Code of Conduct with Youth that sets clear expectations for associates and volunteers to ensure a safe and respectful environment for young people. It emphasizes treating youth with respect and fairness, avoiding inappropriate physical or verbal interactions, and adhering to established standards of affection. The policy strictly prohibits any form of abuse, bullying, or harassment and mandates the reporting of suspected mistreatment. Additionally, associates and volunteers must complete training on child abuse prevention and comply with legal reporting requirements to safeguard youth.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of full life-cycle recruiting experience with proven sales, cold-calling or lead generation techniques, both in person and online
  • The ability to partner with hiring managers to develop and implement effective recruitment strategies
  • Prior experience working in candidate tracking systems

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working for an organization that provides programs and/or services for early childhood education
  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in: Early Childhood Education, Education, Human Resources, Psychology, Business or related field
