About The Position
The Department of Construction Management is seeking a 12-month, non-tenure earning, Instructor of Construction Management. Position responsibilities include a 4/4 teaching load or its equivalent, and service.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field from an accredited institution
- Demonstrated ability and track record to instruct undergraduate students in the field of construction management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- This position requires a background check.
- This position may also require a credit check.
- The holder of this position is designated as a “Responsible Employee" pursuant to their role under Title IX. Therefore, the incumbent must promptly report allegations of sexual misconduct, sexual violence, and child sexual abuse by or against any student, employee, contractor, or visitor to the University’s Title IX Administrator or any divisional Title IX Coordinator.
Nice To Haves
- A minimum of two years of college-level teaching experience in subjects such as computer applications, construction management, and capstone projects
- A minimum of five years of relevant industry experience in construction management
