Under limited supervision, the Instructor for Biotechnology provides engaging and high-quality instruction while supporting student success through advising, mentorship, and academic engagement. Courses are taught in a variety of formats based on the needs of the department. Faculty at Pitt Community College contribute to departmental and institutional goals through curriculum development, committee service, professional development, and collaboration with colleagues across the college and NCCCS. This position supports both the Biotechnology Associate in Applied Science degree program and pharmaceutical/biotechnology workforce training initiatives, including BioWork, oral solid dosage manufacturing, aseptic manufacturing, cleanroom practices, cGMP documentation, and other employer- driven training programs.
