The primary responsibilities of the faculty are to teach and to develop the curriculum. This position requires the creation and delivery of learning experiences that support students in achieving the learning outcomes outlined in the Master Course Syllabus. The instructor will employ teaching methods to design and maintain an engaging and effective learning environment, assess student progress, and provide feedback to promote growth and academic success. A key aspect of the role is cultivating a classroom environment that reflects the college’s mission, values, and goals. The instructor will also participate in program and discipline activities related to curriculum development and implementation, contribute to program reviews and strategic planning by offering recommendations on curriculum, staffing, facilities, and equipment, and engage in ongoing professional development to deepen expertise and enhance instructional strategies. Integration of relevant educational technology tools into teaching is expected, as is participation in department, division, campus, and college meetings and committees to support institutional goals. The role also includes maintaining weekly office hours as required by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and performing other related duties as outlined in the CBA.
