About The Position

The Department of Applied Business Studies is seeking applicants for a 9-month, non-tenure track faculty position to start August 2026. A student-oriented Instructor is sought who has a passion for teaching Marketing and who is committed to staying abreast of this rapidly changing field. The Marketing program is a dynamic and student-centered discipline that emphasizes real-world application, industry relevance, and experiential learning. Students engage in hands-on projects, case studies, and applied experiences designed to prepare them for successful careers in a rapidly evolving business environment. Faculty are committed to innovative teaching practices, strong connections with industry, and mentoring students as they develop both academically and professionally.

Requirements

  • Teaching excellence is a primary consideration.
  • A record of successful teaching both on-campus and online is expected.
  • Comfortable teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Marketing.
  • A Master’s degree in Marketing or a Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in Marketing coursework.

Responsibilities

  • Teach five three-credit-hour courses (15 credit hours) per semester at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, with typical class sizes ranging from 15 to 35 students.
  • Teach a variety of marketing courses, depending on departmental needs and the candidate’s areas of expertise.
  • Courses will be both on-campus and online depending on needs.
  • Maintain currency in the field through appropriate scholarly and/or professional engagement.
  • Contribute to the life of the department, college, and university through service activities.
  • Mentor Marketing majors, supporting student success and career readiness.
