About The Position

The College of Science, Technology, and Health at Lindenwood University invites applications for an Instructor/Assistant Professor of Nursing. Qualified applicants will possess at minimum a master's degree in nursing with specialization in nursing education (preferred). The successful candidate will be expected to teach 5 courses (15 credit hours) each semester in nursing area. All Lindenwood faculty members are expected to advise and mentor students, continue to develop their expertise through research and scholarship, and participate in faculty governance and campus life. The Instructor/Assistant Professor of Nursing is a full-time, 9-month faculty position that will begin Fall 2026. Faculty may be asked to teach in didactic, skills laboratory/simulation, or clinical environment.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in nursing with specialization in nursing education (preferred).
  • Unencumbered RN license in the State of Missouri or compact state, or ability to obtain.
  • Graduate nursing degree.
  • RN license.

Nice To Haves

  • Specialization in nursing education.
  • Nursing education/teaching experience at undergraduate level (BSN experience preferred).
  • Terminal degree required for Assistant Professor rank; MSN for Instructor rank.

Responsibilities
