About The Position

The Communications Sciences & Disorders (CSD) department is part of the College of Health and Wellness Professions at St. Cloud State University. The undergraduate bachelor’s program is on-line asynchronous, which allows a diverse student demographic to be a part of our program. We train speech-language pathologists in our highly competitive, clinically focused CAA accredited master’s program. We offer our students high-impact learning opportunities through our on-campus Speech-Language and Hearing Clinic, community partnerships, clinical research and much more. Our high quality, comprehensive clinical services in speech-language pathology and audiology have been a community asset for nearly seven decades. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Possesses CCC-SLP and eligible for the Minnesota licensure (MDH).
  • Worked a minimum of 9-months of full-time clinical experience after being awarded the CCC
  • Evidence of demonstrated ability to teach and work with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds
  • Eligible to work in the United States on or before the effective date of appointment. Eligibility includes being a U.S. citizen or national, a lawful permanent resident, or a foreign national authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship. Employees must maintain work authorization without sponsorship for the duration of their appointment.

  • Bilingual proficiency
  • Experience in academic and clinical teaching (on-line, in-person) and/or practice with documented teaching effectiveness
  • Willing to work with highly motivated students in a CAA accredited speech language pathology department; good rapport with other professionals; experience and sensitivity in dealing effectively with students, clients, and their families
  • Familiar with the 2020 Standards and Implementation Procedures for the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology
