About The Position

The School of Nursing at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) invites applications and nominations for a full-time Adult Health Nursing Instructor position. This role will involve teaching in the Undergraduate/Pre-Licensure Programs. The UAB School of Nursing has a strong legacy of leadership, integrating research, education, and clinical practice, with a vast network of alumni serving in various expert roles. The School is recognized nationally and offers a wide range of innovative nursing programs, including PhD, DNP, MSN, and accelerated pathways. It is a designated Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for International Nursing and hosts a Paul D. Coverdell Peace Corps Fellows Program. Situated within a major Academic Health Science Center, the School is a leader in collaborative science and supports diverse research initiatives. The School also boasts state-of-the-art simulation and skills laboratories for hands-on clinical learning.

Requirements

  • Expertise in adult health nursing.
  • A minimum of a master’s degree in nursing.
  • Hold an unencumbered RN license in the state of Alabama, or be eligible for licensure as a registered nurse in Alabama.

Nice To Haves

  • Acute care or critical care experience.
  • A doctorate in nursing.
