About The Position

This role involves providing academic instruction to students in accordance with approved curricula, offering basic direction, instruction, and assistance in designated areas. The instructor will motivate and counsel students on behavior, training, personal problems, or study habits, coordinating with other staff as needed. Responsibilities include developing and preparing lessons, recommending curriculum changes, and integrating workplace language and behavior expectations into the classroom, relating academic skills to career technical training and workplace requirements. Regular reviews and audits of assigned areas for contractual compliance and service effectiveness are required, along with report preparation.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree
Valid teaching certificate with English Language Learner endorsement
Experience with youth
Communication proficiency
Computer proficiency

Nice To Haves

One (1) year instructional experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide academic instruction to students in accordance with approved curricula.
Provide students with basic direction, instruction and assistance in designated area(s) of instruction.
Motivate and counsel students in areas of behavior, training, personal problems or study habits; coordinate with other staff as necessary to resolve issues affecting student training.
Develop and prepare lessons; recommend curricula changes and supplemental materials.
Utilize workplace language and behavior expectations in the classroom; on a routine basis, relate academic skills to career technical training and workplace requirements; inquire if individual students need assistance.
Review and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness of delivery of services to students.
Prepare related reports.
