About The Position

Tyonek is seeking applications for an Instructional Systems Developer to perform duties related to designing, developing, and updating formal training courses, e-learning products, and courseware. This role involves collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), integrating cutting-edge information, and creating virtual environments for training missions. The position also requires conducting analyses of training systems and operational tasks, assessing educational needs, operating Learning Management Systems (LMS) for assessments, and managing courseware documents and records.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in a discipline directly related to the courseware subject matter being developed.
  • Must be a graduate of an Air Force Instructional Systems Development (ISD) Course (such as AETC ADDIE or a recognized, approved equivalent).
  • Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) ISD Certification (or a recognized civilian equivalent). Note: For non-CCAF backgrounds, candidates must possess equivalent internship or practical experience that meets the standards for ISD Certification.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of documented, hands-on experience applying the ISD process to formal Air Force CO, IO, or Faculty Development courseware.
  • Top Secret/SCI Clearance is Required

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and update formal training courses, e-learning products, and courseware using the ADDIE Model, Bloom's Taxonomy, and the SAMR Model.
  • Develop comprehensive lesson components within specified timeframes, including Plans of Instruction and storyboards for Learning Management System (LMS) integration.
  • Collaborate with internal/external Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), academia, and industry partners to integrate cutting-edge information and participate in the Spiral Development Cycle (SDC).
  • Assist in creating mission simulator virtual environments for training missions, scenarios, and evaluation tests.
  • Conduct comprehensive Training Systems Requirements Analyses, including Mission/Task Analysis (MTA), Training Requirements Analysis (TRA), and Objective Media Analysis (OMA).
  • Analyze operational tasks to develop Master Training Task Lists (MTTL), Training Task Lists (TTL), and define the Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) required for each task.
  • Assess educational needs and recommend curriculum improvements through surveys, interviews, site visits, and analysis of student feedback.
  • Operate LMS and test management software (e.g., Moodle, Questionmark) to build, schedule, deploy, and grade student assessments.
  • Analyze academic testing metrics, manage graduate assessment surveys, and provide test proctoring for staff and students.
  • Audit and edit all developed courseware for accuracy, grammar, flow, and proper classification to ensure strict compliance with applicable SOPs, ACC Instructions, and Joint Directives.
  • Manage a Master Course File, control courseware documents/illustrations, and provide comprehensive records management support.
  • Validate daily, weekly, monthly, and annual course schedules and prepare responses to internal and external training directives.
