About The Position
The Instructional Support Technician I provides comprehensive instructional support to faculty teaching chemistry and biochemistry classes. The position operates under the lead direction of the Instructional Support Technician III and Department Chair, and under the direct supervision of the Associate Dean. It is a full-time, non-exempt position that may lead to permanent status after successful completion of a probationary period. The role is required to work in person on campus. The anticipated hiring salary is $4,184–$4,353 per month (Steps 1–3). The CSU classification salary range is $4,184–$6,096 per month; salary is commensurate with the selected candidate’s background and experience. Responsibilities
- Prepare chemicals, minor equipment, and course materials for classes.
- Inventory chemicals, solvents, and supplies.
- Repair minor equipment.
- Safely store, handle, and dispose of chemicals.
