About The Position

St. Mary's School in Annapolis, Maryland, is seeking a part-time Instructional Support Professional for the 2026–2027 school year. The role supports teachers in a classroom setting through tasks such as grading assignments, preparing classroom and lesson materials, and providing one-on-one assistance to students who need additional help. The Instructional Support Professional reinforces topics introduced by the teacher and helps children establish their daily routines. Expected hours are 7:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Requirements

Minimum high school diploma.
90-hour childcare certification.
Experience in a Catholic school setting.
Appreciation for young students and their families.
Must be an active practicing Catholic.

Responsibilities

Maintain the safety and active supervision of students at all times.
Assist with instruction and prepare teaching materials and supplies as directed by the teacher.
Assist students with technology or other audio equipment.
Ensure arrival and dismissal procedures are conducted safely and in an orderly manner.
Collaborate with teachers, assistants, staff, and administration.
Grade assignments and prepare classroom and lesson materials.
Provide one-on-one assistance to students who need additional help.
Reinforce ideas and topics presented by the teacher and help children establish daily routines.
