This role provides instructional support, focusing on students with Exceptional Student Education (ESE) needs. The position involves assisting in the instructional process, reinforcing learning and behavior patterns, supporting parental involvement, and maintaining student confidentiality. The support may be provided individually or in small groups, supplementing regular instruction and implementing teacher-developed lesson plans under direct supervision. The role also includes preparing and organizing instructional materials, assisting with technology, and adhering to safety procedures. Additional duties may include working in specialized learning facilities like computer labs or libraries, assisting with Individual Education Plans (IEPs), acting as a translator if qualified, monitoring student behavior, and performing Medicaid administrative claims reimbursable activities.
