Under the general supervision of the Manager, Undergraduate Programs, the incumbent is responsible for providing administrative support for the teaching of Statistical Sciences courses.

Requirements

  • Advanced College Diploma (3 years) or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum two years of recent and related experience providing undergraduate administrative support to university faculty, TAs, and staff.
  • Experience and proficient skills in proofreading and formatting lecture notes, problem sets, tests and exams.
  • Demonstrated experience working with databases, surveys, and generating reports. Demonstrate ability to maintain, organize and generate report wth high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Extensive experience working with and providing information to undergraduate students.
  • Experience in organizing and planning meetings and events.
  • Advanced working knowledge and skills of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Access and ROSI.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Well-developed and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management, prioritization and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Responding to enquiries within the defined scope of the role and redirecting as appropriate
  • Disseminating program and/or service information
  • Booking rooms and arranging appropriate accommodations
  • Coordinating the preparation and distribution of program and/or course material
  • Editing program and service materials
  • Coordinating meeting schedules, agendas, materials, action and follow-up items
  • Proofreading and fact-checking content
  • Liaising with stakeholders to coordinate space and resource requirements
