About The Position

The School of Accountancy at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Instructional Student Assistant Analytical Pool. This position is for currently enrolled CSUF students and may involve work in various labs such as the Fundamental Skills Lab, Bridge to Success Lab, Accounting Analytics and Technology Lab, or other labs with specific course or faculty assignments. This is a pool position from which the department will draw as needed. Tasks can include assisting students and faculty with learning and presenting advanced technologies, aiding with group projects, and training students on technological applications. Appointments from this pool are temporary, often made just prior to the academic term, and applicants may be offered employment on very short notice.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be currently enrolled students
  • Excellent computer skills including Office, Excel and PowerPoint and other spreadsheet experience
  • Type 40 CWAM
  • Have a working knowledge of library and internet research
  • Must have an excellent command of English – both oral and written
  • Be able to follow directions, show initiative, be reliable and have the ability to assist with large classes
  • Ability to learn and perform assigned work
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels and read/write English at a level appropriate to the position
  • Strong working knowledge of Tableau, SQL, Alteryx, Microsoft Power Platform, PowerQuery
  • Detail oriented with a strong ability to work independently
