About The Position

To support school-based personnel in the development and operation of grant-funded instructional programs for students to meet and exceed District objectives and assure compliance with applicable District, Federal, and State regulations.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree
  • Valid South Carolina Certificate
  • Three to ten years related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Must be able to transport between school buildings, districts and cities.
  • Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory in specific field.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form.
  • Ability to effectively operate a computer, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.

Responsibilities

  • Serves in a resource capacity to assist schools in the development and implementation of Title I programs.
  • Assists in the identification and selection of participants for the assigned program(s).
  • Assists in the identification of instructional needs of students who are eligible for the assigned program(s).
  • Assists in the development of instructional plans for students served by the assigned program(s).
  • Assists in the selection of instructional material and equipment for the assigned program(s), and in establishing effective training and monitoring to assure appropriate uses of those resources.
  • Assists in the development, provision and evaluation of staff development activities, as monitored by state-level Federal Programs staff, to ensure that these funds are expended on best practices which have the maximum impact at the classroom level.
  • Assists school administrators in meeting the requirements of applicable Federal and State Laws by monitoring the planning, budgeting and implementation of the assigned program(s).
  • Assists in the development, operation, and evaluation of effective parent involvement activities for the assigned program(s).
  • Participates in activities that assure continued awareness of improved instructional programs and strategies.
  • Works with private and charter school administrators as required by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).
  • Assists with Summer Reading Camp as required by the Read to Succeed Act.
  • Assists with gifted and talented student identification and program implementation.
  • Participates in program evaluation.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Federal Programs.
