About The Position
The Springfield Empowerment Zone Partnership (SEZP) is a collaboration formed in 2015 between the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and Springfield Public Schools. SEZP is dedicated to creating engaging middle and high school environments within 'The Zone.' These schools are designed to support teachers' professional growth and equip students with the academic and personal skills necessary for college or career success. Each SEZP school operates with unique autonomy to develop and implement its own vision for success, supported by a network of national partners. Teacher Leadership Teams at each school ensure that educators' voices are heard and foster strong communication between school administration and staff. SEZP is looking for educators who thrive in a collaborative, engaging, diverse, and high-energy setting, and who are committed to the SEZP mission, high expectations, and their own professional development.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate of Arts or Science Degree or higher, or 60 undergraduate college credits, or Meeting or exceeding the State mandated score on the Paraprofessional Assessment or Work Keys Assessment
Nice To Haves
- BA Degree with Educator Licensure
- Experience working with special education students in education settings
- A passing score on the Work Keys Exams in the following areas: Workplace Documents: 5 Applied Math: 4 Business Writing: 3
