About The Position

This position supports the Principal and school leadership in implementing and evaluating the continuous improvement process. The facilitator will help align program goals and the Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (CSIP) with the district's vision and strategic direction. Key responsibilities include coordinating and facilitating professional development and coaching focused on highly effective instruction, such as literacy, student agency, goal setting, engagement strategies, and academic acceleration. The role involves providing direct instructional support to staff through observations, data analysis, modeling, coaching, and feedback. The facilitator will collaborate with school leadership to ensure improvement efforts align with Henry's Plan of Action for Student Achievement and will serve on the school leadership team. Attendance at required district trainings and meetings is also expected, along with performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Hold a valid Georgia Educator Certificate or credentials required by the district.
  • Minimum of five years of successful certified level experience in education.
  • Ability to work well with students, parents, staff, and the community.
  • Exceptional integrity, commitment to confidentiality, excellent character, and strong professional reputation.
  • Must abide by the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators.
  • Must be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work.
  • Ability to be present at the physical worksite.
  • Must perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting.
  • Must perform routine physical activities such as bending and lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to properly and consistently supervise students, particularly during emergency situations.
  • Vision, hearing, written, and verbal communications are essential factors in performing required tasks.

  • Master's level preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Attend district trainings and meetings as required.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
