About The Position

Ampcus Inc. is a certified global provider of a broad range of Technology and Business consulting services. We are in search of a highly motivated candidate to join our talented Team. This role involves partnering with Substation and T-Line Engineering to conceptualize training design and content, defining learning objectives, course structure, learning content, and assessments. The position requires a detailed analysis of existing content and tasks for the target audience, business processes, and systems. The Instructional Designer will follow company standards, guidelines, and templates to develop learning materials, including student and facilitator presentations and guides, activities, scenarios, and assessments. They will also create instructional graphics, scenarios, or interactions, write clear and effective instruction and facilitator text, and conduct meetings with subject matter experts for task analysis, alpha, beta, and answer validation. The role also includes ongoing content review and validation with subject matter experts, incorporating feedback, self-managing tasks and deadlines, and proactively communicating issues and risks.

Requirements

3 years experience developing instructor-led and eLearning courseware.
Strong ILT design skills, openness to feedback, and ability to pivot quickly.
Strong knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies.
Very strong Task Analysis knowledge and capability.
Experienced with PowerPoint and Word.
Flexibility to work on simultaneous development efforts, as needed.
Comfortable and capable working on a High Performing Team.

Nice To Haves

Experience developing training for utility industry.
Experience with technical writing.
Experience with QuestionMark and Author-it.

Responsibilities

Partner with Substation and T-Line Engineering to conceptualize training design and content.
Define learning objectives, course structure, learning content, and assessments.
Complete detailed analysis of existing content and each task to be trained/supported for target audience, business process, and systems.
Follow company standards, guidelines, and templates to develop learning materials including student and facilitator presentations and guides, activities, scenarios, and assessments.
Create instructional graphics, scenarios, or interactions.
Write clear and effective instruction and facilitator text appropriate for the target audience.
Conduct in-person and virtual meetings with subject matter experts including task analysis, alpha, beta, and answer validation meetings.
Engage with subject matter experts for ongoing content review and validation.
Receive and incorporate feedback.
Self-manage assigned tasks and deadlines to complete deliverables.
Proactively communicate issues and risks.
