About The Position

The Instructional Designer is responsible for the strategic design, development, and governance of enterprise learning programs delivered through the company’s Learning Management Systems (Docebo). This role exercises discretion and independent judgment in determining instructional methodologies, learning strategies, and content frameworks that support business operations, employee performance, and customer enablement. The Instructional Designer partners cross-functionally with stakeholders across Product, Operations, Sales, and Customer Success to translate complex Transportation Management System (TMS) concepts into scalable, data-driven learning solutions. This role directly influences onboarding effectiveness, product adoption, and organizational capability development.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience in instructional design and LMS administration.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing learning programs for technical or software-based environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Docebo or comparable LMS platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE,SAM).
  • Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Rise, Captivate).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in logistics, supply chain, or Transportation Management System (TMS).
  • Experience supporting SaaS product training or customer education programs.
  • Familiarity with SCORM/xAPI standards and LMS integrations.
  • Experience with video creation / editing tools (e.g., Camtasia, Loom).

Responsibilities

  • Determine, design and implement instructional strategies aligned with organizational goals, product roadmap, and operational priorities.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate learning methodologies (eLearning, instructor-led, microlearning, blended learning) based on audience needs and business objectives.
  • Translate complex TMS workflows, logistics processes, and software functionality into structured learning programs that drive measurable performance outcomes.
  • Establish standards and best practices for instructional design, content structure, and learner engagement.
  • Lead the end-to-end development of learning programs, including onboarding, role-based training, and customer education initiatives.
  • Create and oversee development of learning assets including eLearning modules, job aids, videos, and facilitator guides.
  • Ensure all training content aligns with adult learning principles and supports knowledge retention and application.
  • Independently manage multiple learning initiatives, prioritizing work based on business impact.
  • Own the design and governance of the LMS learning architecture, including learning paths, certification programs, and curriculum structure.
  • Establish standards for LMS utilization, course design, and learner experience.
  • Configure and optimize LMS functionality, including automation workflows, reporting dashboards, and assessment strategies.
  • Leverage LMS analytics to evaluate training effectiveness and inform strategic decisions related to learning investments.
  • Serve as a consultative partner to business leaders and subject matter experts in identifying training needs and recommending appropriate learning solutions.
  • Advise stakeholders on instructional approaches, content design, and delivery strategies to support business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Product and Customer Success teams to align training with product releases and client enablement strategies.
  • Partner with SMEs across departments to gather requirements and validate training content.
  • Collaborate with Product and Customer Success teams to support client-facing training initiatives
  • Align learning programs with business goals, product releases, and operational priorities.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure training effectiveness, including learner engagement, knowledge retention, and performance impact.
  • Analyze data and feedback to identify gaps and implement continuous improvements to learning programs.
  • Maintain and update training content in alignment with product enhancements, process changes, and industry developments.
  • Design and implement structured onboarding programs to accelerate time-to-productivity for new hires.
  • Develop and maintain role-based learning paths for Sales, Operations, and Technical teams.
  • Contribute to customer education strategies that improve TMS adoption and client satisfaction.
