Provides assistance to students and staff while working in and out of a variety of classrooms. This role requires maintaining high ethical standards, providing reinforcement to students, planning and modifying lessons under supervision, preparing materials, attending conferences and meetings, administering assessments, and carrying out personal health and safety protocols. The Instructional Assistant will also compile reports on student progress, assist with ordering supplies, substitute for teachers, and participate in professional development. The position involves supporting and following school policies, engaging in activities to develop student self-worth, recognizing individual differences, communicating effectively, modifying student work, and maintaining cooperative relationships. The role also requires problem-solving, understanding directions, organizing work, and providing assistance to parents and staff.
