About The Position

This is a temporary Instructional Assistant position. The role involves working with school-aged children, providing instructional reinforcement, and potentially covering substitute duties. The position requires regular on-time attendance and performing related duties as assigned. The job also involves physical requirements such as standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• Demonstrated interest in and aptitude for working with school-aged children.
• Excellent human relations skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students and parents.
• High School Diploma required.
• Experience working with children.

Responsibilities

• Works with individual or small groups to provide instructional reinforcement after the classroom teacher delivers the instruction.
• Regular on-time attendance.
• Performs related duties as assigned by the principal and/or designee.
• Required to provide substitute coverage as needed.
