Instructional Assistant Self-Contained I PT
About The Position
This is a part-time Instructional Assistant position within the Special Education department, specifically for Self-Contained I roles. There are three positions available at 25 hours per week and one position at 17 hours per week, all located at South Valley. The role requires mandatory basic training provided by the JSD Special Education Department, which must be completed within one week of hire. Further training (40 hours) is available through the Special Education department, allowing the employee to advance to lane 5 upon completion, with this additional training to be completed within six months from the hire date. The salary for Lane 4 Step 1 is $20.92 per hour, effective July 1, 2025.
Requirements
- Must complete Basic Training (5 hours) provided by JSD Special Education Department
- Training must be completed within one week of hire as a condition of employment
- Additional 40 hours of training is available through the Special Education department allowing the employee to increase to lane 5 upon completion
- Training must be completed within six (6) months from hire date as a condition of employment
