About The Position

This is a full-time (35 hours per week) Instructional Assistant position in a self-contained special education setting. The role requires completion of Basic Training within one week of hire and offers additional training opportunities to advance within the Special Education department. The position is effective July 1, 2025, with a starting salary of $20.92/Hour (Lane 4 Step 1).

Requirements

Must complete Basic Training (5 hours) provided by JSD Special Education Department within one week of hire as a condition of employment.
Must complete additional 40 hours of training within six (6) months from hire date as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

Complete Basic Training (5 hours) provided by JSD Special Education Department within one week of hire.
Complete additional 40 hours of training available through the Special Education department within six months of hire to potentially increase to lane 5.
Provide instructional assistance in a self-contained special education setting.
