About The Position

This is a full-time Instructional Assistant position in a self-contained special education setting for the 2026-2027 school year. The position requires completion of Basic Training within one week of hire and offers additional training opportunities to advance to Lane 5 within six months.

Requirements

Must complete Basic Training (5 hours) provided by JSD Special Education Department.
Training must be completed within one week of hire as a condition of employment.
Training must be completed within six (6) months from hire date as a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

Additional 40 hours of training is available through the Special Education department allowing the employee to increase to lane 5 upon completion.

Responsibilities
